David Altman Library

The David Altman Library continues to serve Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah's congregants and professional staff as well the teachers and students of the BHCBE Academy.  The library's collection includes approximately 4,000 books, videos, and periodicals.  

All areas of Judaica for both children and adults are well represented in the collection, including Biblical texts and commentaries, Jewish philosophy and ethics, holidays and life cycle events, folklore, literature and the arts, history, the Holocaust, and Israel. The library is organized according to the Elazar Classification System, a scheme specially developed for libraries of Judaica.

Hours: The library is open for browsing and self check-out (see instructions by the librarian’s desk) during the BHCBE Academy office's regular hours.  The librarian is available on Sundays between 9 am and 1 pm, or by appointment.
