MEN'S CLUB

Men of all ages are involved in our Club!

Beth Hillel Bnai Emunah (BHBE) Men’s Club makes the joy of Jewish living accessible and relevant to all men. By providing a forum for men committed to enhancing the quality of Jewish life at BHBE, we open the door for our members to fully engage our community.

Our club is a proud member of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, Midwest Region.

The mission: To enhance the practice of Conservative Judaism, offering meaningful activities and programs addressing current issues of concern, providing critical community outreach, and serving the diverse needs of our synagogue.

In support of these ambitious goals, our BHBE Men’s Club:

  • Strengthens member participation in the life of the congregation.
  • Integrates and advances the institutions of the synagogue.
  • Promotes a more thorough knowledge and appreciation of Jewish life.
  • Stimulates social and cultural activities among its members and in the community at large.
  • Trains knowledgeable leaders for the Congregation and the Jewish community through FJMC programs.
  • We invite you to discover why our Men’s Club is important and “a place to grow as a Jew.” You can contact Harold Primack, membership chair, hprimo@sbcglobal.net:  to learn more.  Come join us!

Lieberman Shabbat Service/Community Outreach Initiative

Our men’s club is an active participant of the year-long Shabbat service program held at the Lieberman Nursing Center, Skokie, IL.  Each Shabbat, one of five member clubs affiliated with FJMC’s Midwest Region, assists residents come down from their rooms to a community room on the premises where weekly services are held.  The program has been memorialized for Ernest D. Smolen, z”l, an  FJMC Midwest Region board member, who established the innovative program for Chicago area men’s clubs in 2007.
